Bop To The Boogie.

Poster Collab with Fred Wesley

and LITTLE BIG BEAT STUDIOS.

A tongue twister visualized.

Already in my youth I was a big fan of Fred Wesley. I listened to and replayed the legendary performances with Maceo Parker and Pee Wee Ellis under the motto «2% Jazz, 98% Funky Stuff» many times with my band mates. World-famous songs like «House Party» are still part of our repertoire today.

When Fred visited us again in April 2024, I thought of something special as I wanted to take the opportunity to surprise him with a cool poster and get it signed at the same time. The result was a letterpress poster featuring the refrain of his hit «Bop To The Boogie» in black and gold - a tongue twister that he likes to «rehearse» live with his audiences. And a groovy song that is fun to dance and sing along to - if you can ;)

Und vor allem ein grooviger Song, der Spass macht zum mittanzen und mitsingen – wenn man es kann :)

I also had my son Luc to help me with the design and printing. Fred Wesley's music was part of the «basic education» of all three of my sons, which is why they also like to listen to funk and jazz today. A small achievement that I owe to long car trips we took together as a family.

Of course you can buy the fine poster, which is limited to 50 copies signed by me, and 20 of which are additionally signed by Fred himself. Of every poster sold, 10 percent will go to Pink Ribbon Liechtenstein.
